Palin Appoints Pro-Choice Judge

I’m sorry, what? She chose the LIBERAL? I guess there weren’t any qualified Real Americans.
At least the appointment was from the heart..you know, not a politically motivated appointment. I hate those.
Bwhahahaha!
Yep, Gov. Palin thinkin’ ahead…goin’ after the wimmin votes…
From Anchorage Daily News: “Gov. Sarah Palin on Wednesday picked an Anchorage judge to fill the latest vacancy on the Alaska Supreme Court despite efforts by a conservative Christian group to convince her to do otherwise.
Anchorage Superior Court Judge Morgan Christen, on the bench since 2002, will be just the second woman named to the high court in the 50 years since statehood. [..]”
Since I’ve learned that if a Republican does something that looks too good, then I haven’t heard the whole story. Maybe this new judge is a closet anti-abortion activist…
But no, Christen’s application says she was on the board of Planned Parenthood in the mid-1990s. An organization, which didn’t provide abortions in Alaska until 2003, that is now on the opposite side of a Palin-supported bill to require girls under 17 to get parental consent for an abortion.
What?
Seriously, Sarah can’t fool me…she is trying to move more toward the middle politically in anticipation of her big Presidential bid in 2012. But…if she does that, won’t she lose her fundamentalist base?
Maybe she has figured out that the religious crazies are only a small percentage of the Republican party.
Or, maybe that church exorcism performed by the African pastor didn’t take.
